The Fall season in Oklahoma brings with it some fun activities for families to enjoy. The weather is finally tolerable, which makes getting out and about so much more enjoyable with family.

Whether your family is stationed at Fort Sill or Tinker Air Force Base, there are many activities for families to enjoy all within mostly an hour’s drive from either location.

Pumpkinville, which is located at the Myriad Botanical Gardens in Oklahoma City, is a fun activity for all families to enjoy. This magical place offers pathways and exhibits that are kid-friendly throughout the entire partly shaded children’s gardens. is open daily from 10am to 5pm from October 7th to October 23rd. Some of the activities included here are: crafts, face paintings, story times, and even a carousel!

Due to the central location of the Myriad Botanical Gardens, families can also enjoy many food options in the downtown area and Scissortail park too.

Jahn’s Pumpkin Hill in Cyril is fun for the whole family. It is located in Cyril, Oklahoma, and is open Monday-Saturday from 10am to 6pm and Sunday from 1pm to 6pm.

At Jahn’s Pumpkin Patch there are many different pumpkins to choose from including: a petting zoo, swings, maze, a slide for kids, a big fat tire pile, bails of hay to walk on, and tons of picture opportunities.

In fact, every child that enters receives a small pumpkin with the price of admission! The Snider Family Exotics Pumpkin Patch is open Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 5pm.

Orr Family Farm in Oklahoma City

The Orr Family Farm in Oklahoma City has a range of activities for families. Some of these activities include a pumpkin patch, a hay ride, a pony ride, a carousel, train ride, barnyard activities, a mega slide, and so much more!

The Orr Family Farm is closed on Tuesdays but is open every other day from 10am to 9pm for families looking for some fun.

Storybook Forest in Edmond

Storybook Forest is a safe alternative to trick-or-treating for children. There are no scary ghouls or ghosts, but instead feature a well-lit path for children to walk through and collect candy from storybook characters. Storybook Forest is open from October 23-30 from 5:30pm to 8:30pm.
